Heart-Broken (Poem)
All the time that we had spent,
walking through those lonely lands,
I loved you, that's what I meant,
holding each other; hand in hand.
There was nothing left to do,
nothing left that I could've tried,
none other have I missed more than you,
girl, you don't know how much I've cried!
I never thought you'd leave me by,
even though I gave you all I had,
I never thought tears would fill my eye,
you won't realize how awfully I'm sad.
I never thought you would deceive,
you won't even know how much it pains,
I never thought that you would leave,
and the love I gave you was in vain.
You can count the nights I've spent,
Thinking we would be forever together,
it still hurts when I relapse upon what I've dreamt,
I stood always beside you; not caring the bad weather.
Do you realize how much I've loved?
You never turned back the time you went,
to stand by your side I had vowed,
craved for you as if you were heaven-sent.
But baby you don't know how much I've tried,
to keep you happy though I was tired,
to stay with you; even to my parents I've lied,
Alas! You kicked me out; I felt like I'm fired.
In this world, all I needed was you,
and I lost my everything when you left,
I loved you so much and it was true,
your deed, to me, was a heinous theft.
Lastly, I was a napkin; used and thrown away,
you left me hurt and in remorse,
No words I'd say, no love I'd pay,
'Cause you left me shattered and even worse!
