Behind the Mask (Poem)

Behind  this  mask,
is  a  person  born  to  kill,
but  friendship  and  love,
made  him  forget  his  skill.

Behind  this  mask,
is  a  man  said  to  be  dead,
a  numb  body,  without  a  soul,
and  a  worthless  heart  of  lead.

Behind  this  mask,
is  a  true  dumb  loser,
despised  by  all,  loved  by  none,
and  the  only  lonely  cruiser.

Behind  this  mask,
is  a  totally  lost  failure,
whom;  by  his  attitude,
lost  his  own  dear.

Behind  this  mask,
is  a  boring  junior  poet,
whose  talents  are  wasted,
for  there's  none  to  adore  it.

Yet  behind  this  mask,
is  a  wonderful  friend,
with  a  warm  smile  and
a  helping  hand  to  lend.

And  behind  this  mask,
is  a  truly  passionate  lover,
having  happiness  to  shower,
and  a  mask  of  sadness  to  cover!
